The HAPPY BABY photo contest is open to all Filipino babies (born in the Philippines or abroad).
To join the contest, the mechanics are:
Pay the registration fee of Php 250.00,
scan and submit deposit slip together with a maximum of 3 photos (300dpi at least) and the information needed about the baby and email it to cradlehappybaby@octobereighty.com.

Entries will only be accepted until October 8, 2010.
The TOP 10 happiest baby photo entries will be chosen for an online voting from October 11 - November 11, 2010.

Winners will be announced on November 30, 2010.

Criteria for judging will include:
20% for the online votes
50% adherence to the happy baby theme (happiest moment)
30% overall presentation.

Judging will be accomplished by a panel of CRADLE Magazine editors, management and Sponsor representatives. Decision of the judges is final and binding on all matters relating to this contest.

NOTES:
1. You can enter the contest even if you are not the parent of the baby/child, just as long as you have the consent of the parents.
2. The prizes will be given for 3 pax (2 adults & 1 baby). The one who can claim the prizes is the one who submitted the photos.
3. Photos --- at least 1 photo should have been taken in the last 6 months. The other 2 photos can be a year ago.
4. Photos --- your choice whether it is a candid happy shot or a studio-taken photo.
5. Twins -- can be in 1 photo & considered as 1 entry (but only 1 airline ticket will be given in this case), or can be entered separately (registration is also separate).

The registration fee is to cover incidental expenses the company will incur in doing the contest (marketing, advertising, logistics).

Account Name: October Eighty Publications Inc.
Savings Account Number: 196-112149-1

Then you can email us the scanned deposit slip + 3 photos of your baby + the information details to cradlehappybaby@octobereighty.com.

The prize is a 3D/2N all-expenses* paid trip for daddy, mommy and baby to Hong Kong Disneyland plus the winning baby will be the cover of the January 2011 issue of CRADLE.

*airfare, hotel and food.

Even if you're not the parent, it is okay as long there is consent (from the parents).

As for the price, it will be given to the person who submitted the photo --- if the winner is not the parent, then we just need a written consent.

At least 1 photo should have been taken in the last 6 months and the other 2 can be a year or so.

It's considered as 1 entry if you submit photos with both of them. And should they win, the prizes stay as is.

But you can submit one each, however that will be separate registrations.

The composition (solo, group, candid or studio-taken) is also your choice :)

Online voting will be from Oct 1-30, 2010. Only 10 contestants will qualify for the online voting.
Mechanics will be announced for the online voting soon.

You can also look at the photos in our multiply site (Mechanics, Registration).

Hello! The pictures you will submit are the happiest photos of your baby --- can be candid or studio take, solo or with a group, at least one from the present, and the others are 6months to 1 year ago maximum. No need for it in cover magazine format.... we want to see your happy baby, naturally :)

don't worry about the 300dpi requirement. just scan your photo or send us the file from your camera... that should be okay. :)

submission is extended till OCTOBER 16, 2010. the TOP 10 FINALISTS who will qualify for the online voting will be announced on OCTOBER 19, 2010. :)

yes, the LAST EXTENSION is indeed on Oct 16 :) and yes, parents do submit more than 3 photos...... we do enjoy receiving more than 3 photos but it doesn't mean that just because there are more photos, there are more chances to win.... but nevertheless --- we do love baby photos! :)

sending more than 3 photos is not a ground for disqualification :)
however, it will also not mean additional points for winning....
